SPARKY submissions due today!

Don't forget - Morris Library is promoting and sponsoring a campus version of the SPARKY Awards. The entry deadline is TODAY, Friday, November 20, 2009. How do you enter? All you need to do is submit a short video (no more than 2 minutes in length) on the topic of the value and benefits of information sharing. At SIUC there will be three local winners with a Grand Prize on an iPod touch and two Runner-Ups will receive $100 gift certificate at the campus bookstore. Paul Simon Legacy Event

An exhibit and program featuring invited speaker Charles Klotzer, publisher of St. Louis Journalism Review who worked for Simon at the Troy newspaper, will highlight Simon's influence as a journalist will be held on Thursday, December 10 at 7:00 pm. Zotero (pronounced "zoh-TAIR-oh") is a Firefox addon that collects, manages, and cites research sources. It's easy to use, lives in your web browser where you do your work, and best of all it's free.
